SoriSpeak is made by SoriStory LLC. This policy covers the SoriSpeak mobile apps for iOS and Android, and this website.
Your video and audio recordings. Takes you film in SoriSpeak are written to your device's own storage and are never uploaded to us. This is enforced in our storage rules, not just promised here.
Your speech analysis. The filler-word count, speaking pace and pause detection are computed on your device. One caveat, stated plainly: SoriSpeak asks iOS for on-device speech recognition, and on devices that do not support it, iOS falls back to Apple's speech recognition service, which means the audio of that take is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
SoriSpeak's AI features run on our servers rather than in the app. When you use one, the relevant content is sent to our backend and passed to the processor that performs the work.
| What is sent | When | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| The text of your note, idea or script | Writing a script, refining text, generating hooks, cuts, sparks or a publish pack | Google (Gemini on Vertex AI) |
| What you and the AI say during a practice conversation | Rehearsing an interview, call or difficult conversation | Google (Gemini on Vertex AI) |
| A transcript of what you said | Only if you ask for the optional content check after a take or call | Google (Gemini on Vertex AI) |
| The text to be spoken | Playing a narration preview | Google (Gemini TTS) or Inworld |
| Short audio samples of your voice | Only if you create a cloned voice | Inworld (voice cloning) |
We do not send your recordings, your contacts, your photo library, or your precise location. There is no advertising SDK in the app, no advertising identifier is collected, and we do not sell or share your information with data brokers.
SoriSpeak uses Google Analytics for Firebase so we can see how the app is actually used — which screens people reach, where they give up, and whether a release made something better or worse. It exists to tell us what to build and fix. It is not used to profile you, and it is not used to advertise to you.
From the first time you open the app, it automatically collects:
What analytics never receives: the text of your notes and scripts, your recordings, your practice conversations, or your speaking statistics. We have deliberately excluded the advertising identifier on both iPhone and Android, so there is none to collect.
Google processes this data for us. There is no in-app switch to turn analytics off today; if you want yours deleted, write to us and we will action it — see Your rights below.
Creating a cloned voice uploads a few seconds of your recorded speech to our voice provider, which derives a voice model from it. That model is tied to your account. When you delete the voice in the app, we delete it at the provider too — and if you delete your account, we delete it as part of that, so we are not left holding a voiceprint for an account that asked to be erased.
SoriSpeak creates an anonymous account for your device the first time you open it. It has no name, no email and no profile — it exists so our servers can apply your monthly free-usage allowance and know whether you are a subscriber.
If you turn on sync, you sign in with Apple or Google. We receive whatever that provider gives us, which may include your name and email address, and we use it only to identify your account across your devices.
Sync is opt-in. With it on, we store the following under your account, in Google Firebase:
Your video takes are not part of sync. If you never turn sync on, none of the above is stored with us and your notes stay on your device.
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card, billing address, or any payment detail. To confirm a subscription is genuine, the app sends us the signed receipt issued by the store, and we keep the resulting transaction identifier and expiry date so we know your subscription is active.
We keep a per-month count of how many AI actions your account has used, so the free allowance and the subscriber limits can be enforced. It is a set of counters attached to your account identifier — not a record of what you wrote.
If you contact support from inside the app, we receive the email address, subject and message you type, and we use them to answer you.
Notes you delete go to Recently Deleted and are erased permanently after 30 days. Everything else is kept while your account exists.
Settings → Account → Delete account removes, in one server-side operation: your cloned voice at the voice provider, your uploaded files, your notes and collections, your subscription entitlement record, your usage counters, and the sign-in itself. It cannot be undone.
SoriSpeak is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. The in-app delete does the erasure directly; for anything else, write to us at the address below and we will action it.
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how your information is handled, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app.
